Control your emotions, Steven. You already know the truth. Don't deny it.

What is the truth you quote in your post?

It is the whispering wind; a thought ever so dashing, ever so smooth, ever so terrible; a bubble you cannot catch, cannot grasp, cannot comprehend; a temptation that you cannot resist, but cannot resist to deny; it is the jarring contradictions that makes all the beauty in this world, the ultimate indictment of pain in this world; It is my matriarch, my mistress, my murderess; it is the chill to your very core that never was, but always shall.

does that satisfy your curiosity? :)

Who is the defence?

"cannot resist" and "cannot resist to deny" are essentially the same meaning in the context and hence, redundant.

There was an obvious parallel structure: a list of 3 at the beginning, but somehow, you diverged from the path and ruined it. Similarly, the same goes for "it is" at the beginning of each phrase.

It is interesting to note the references to yourself and the reader, but it raises a question whether that was really your intention.

"It is my matriarch, my mistress...": This sentence seems to almost point to the topic, because of the recurring "m" in the list and the feminine pointer. Furthermore, the "beauty in this world" acknowledges the magnitude of the object symbolically. As well, there is no indication that the pain and terrible-ness are unwelcome! However, your thoughts on this issue is sudden and brief with the references to speed ("whispering wind", "cannot catch, cannot grasp") and the shock ("chill to your very core that... always shall"). Because of the "that never was", the thought appears to be unprecedented. I could dissect every single sentence, but I shall stop, for I claim this issue has to do with the obvious object in question: mother.
