Time is like the roaring sea...battering and slowly eroding against the island of refuge, of comfort, of memories.

Lyrics follow:

I only smoke weed when I need to
And I need to get some rest
I confess, I burnt a hole in the mattress
Yes, yes, it was me, I plead guilty
And on the count of three I pull back the duvet
Make my way to the refrigerator
One dry potato inside, no lie
Not even bread, jam
When the light above my head went bam!
I can't sleep, something's all over me
Greasy, insomnia please release me
And let me dream about making mad love on the heath
Tearing off tights with my teeth
But there's no relief
I'm wide awake in my kitchen
It's dark and I'm lonely
Oh, if I could only get some sleep
Creeky noises make my skin creep
I need to get some sleep
I can't get no sleep....

In the past month --

I've gotten more smart, but I'm more stupid about it.
I might've gotten more sensitive, but I'm more insensitive to it.
I've gotten more open, but I'm more closed about it.
I've gotten more productive, but I'm more lazy to employ it.

Alas.

Alright my emo blog's back online now. Enjoy.

How surreal!

Sometimes things go so fast you never stop to think of the bizarity of it all.

I just picked up my lab manual, and stared at the cover incomprehensively for one second until I realized it was the Queen's logo.

It's strange...I'm at Queen's somehow. It's not regret here - far from it. It's...just that I started thinking about this from a new perspective. I suddenly realize that I'm 200km away from Toronto, in Kingston....studying....commerce.

It's really not the same as I thought it before. I feel attached and detached at the same time....it's like an out-of-body experience. Hmmm....

2007-09-22

Haven't posted here in a while.

Ok, so now I'm almost done three weeks of University. It's ridiculous how fast time flies around here. Ah well.

Queen's is definitely a blast. There's a lot to do, and just too little time to do it.

But obviously for this I need to boost up my level of self-control considerably more.

This is going to take some finesse. Hmm.

2007-09-05

Alright.

One conclusion after today.

Frosh is the MOST FUCKING AMAZING THING EVERRRRRRRRRRR

fuck yes. It's so awesome, I can't even say anything about it. For one, I'm too tired and more Frosh is tomorrow so I can't miss that. Secondly, I'm probably bound to secrecy anyway.

But now I am sure I made the right choice.

2007-09-04

Ok..honestly.
Um...residence orientation is a bit slow. There were some good parts, including an awesome karaoke night =D I missed a 1000+ ppl dance cause of a work study application, so that's gay. UGHHHHHH.

But yeah, I haven't gotten hammered yet. Which is....pretty....out of the norm? LOL there is a huge pressure to drink here. Almost everyone has fake IDs. A lot of tequilas and tennessees =P

But tomorrow is when THE INSANE SHIT STARTS!!!!! YEAHHHHHHHH GO COMMERCE '11 w0000000000t FUCKING KICKASS SHORT SHORTS ^^

This is the taste of Queen's pride.

Hopefully I can figure out how to upload pics sometime soon. I need to get some BAT -studying + zzz's done.

Day 1: Orientation day
Most of the day was spent letting Frosh move in, and going over the rules of res. Overall, pretty boring day, haha. Interesting floormates. Anna directly 1 floor below me.

Appropriately, the last mackenzie person I said goodbye to is the first person I met at high school.

A very coincidental but neat way to end this chapter.

Goodbye! -tears-

lol.

2007-08-31

As you may or may not know, Frosh week starts...in two days for me.

I'm really looking forward to it; hopefully it lives up to its hype. :)

Anyways, I'll try to post about each day of Frosh the day of, unless circumstances arise. ;)

I'm half-way through packing now. Hopefully I can finish today.

And lastly....w0000000000000t Queen's!!!

LOL

Weird dream: penii, Mayur, flashing, performing on stage, Lisa, laughing, English, male English teacher, bell curve, exponential scales, around 30000, singing...a weird dream, indeed. It's weird how I understood that.

2007-08-24

Superbad: It wasn't super bad...but super WTF?!?!?!?! It's pretty good in substance. But oh man...you need to understand the subtle nuances in order to enjoy the crude humour in this one. Personally, I found this movie to be more crude than Borat. The drawings are a fine example of such humour...oh man oh man. The ending is good/bad, depending on your take on it. I personally liked it. 4/5

Live Free or Die Hard: It was much better than I expected. Very fun as well. Good mix of ass-kicking and humour. 3.5/5

Review again:

Bourne Ultimatum: Very nice ending. Appropriate camerawork, but still horrid. Some plot flaws, but no big deal. 4/5? Maybe 4.49 if I feel nice =P (That bookfight scene WAS nice)

Got Windows XP + Parallels to run on Macbook Pro now...it's so sweet. Holy mother.
I got my Macbook Pro yesterday. 15.4'' 2.2 GHz w/ 2GB RAM + 120 GB HD...costed my family a fortune, lol.

Well, now I'm blogging on it and it seems absolutely fantastic. Very sexy. Everything just feels awesome at the moment. I'm a little bit worried about the weight holding me down throughout the year though. Oh well, hopefully the heat dissipation from the aluminum makes up for the weight.

Also got a nice nano to match the colour...and a free printer, haha. It's a PIXMA something. 100 bucks before rebate. Rebates are annoying. I do not like cutting out UPC labels from my beautiful boxes.

As of now I think I'm getting high from smelling sweet styrofoam. I have a sore throat. Not sure if that's a causal relationship right there. Now, buying this has now reminded me how much money I have wasted this past month. The numbers are quite ridiculous and mind-boggling. Oh boy, I need to get my work done seriously soon now.

CV-writing, grammar studying, business reading, finance managing will resume after this.

Alright, some recent movie reviews:

Harry Potter: Bad. As usual. The end scene was terrible without the gold statues springing to life. I'm sorry. Decent acting from supporting characters. 2/5

Rush Hour 3: Chris Tucker is hilarious. Jackie Chan is old. Everything else in the movie sucked. The Yu/You Mi/Me Chinese joke was very badly executed. 2/5

Simpsons Movie: Really just a big episode. Some parts were pretty good; I enjoyed the 'breaking the 4th wall' jokes. 3/5

Bourne Identity: I saw this because I didn't want to go into Ultimatum without watching the other two. Great stuff. Pretty intense. Camera work is something...special. 3.5/5

Bourne Supremacy (my bad): Not as good as the previous one, but still good action scenes! The song at the credits of both songs (as well as the last one) is amazing. Moby's Extreme Ways. 3/5

The Invasion: Saw this with OSCSS people today. It was really, REALLY fun. It was a weird but fresh mix between frightening, dramatic, thoughtful, ridiculous, hilarious, and...bad science fiction. Horrible acting from the Body Snatchers though. 4/5

P.S. Oh and I STILL don't know how to add a title to my posts.
Alright, so that was really just a terrible introduction to my blog. I was tired after posting the last entry on my last one, henceforth...

Anyways, this place looks much better, except for the annoying frame at the top, as it interferes with the layout and theme. Now, I have to explore the other options.

I really have nothing much else to say at the moment. Headache of sorts.

This is the new blog. Welcome.
